We were the first organization providing this Whale Shark Adventure Tour. Nowadays, we have more than 25 years of experience running this tour.
During the whale shark season (May to September) thereĀ“s a daily opportunity to participate in this great adventure! We will depart from Cancun, Tulum or Playa del Carmen (see pick up details) to the water surroundings of Isla Mujeres, Contoy and Holbox, exactly where the Caribbean Sea meets the Gulf of Mexico. This is where the whale sharks feed themselves with plankton. You will have the remarkable opportunity to snorkel and swim with this friendly giant, in a beautiful area with a bustling sea life.
Your private Cancun whale shark tours are supervised by a professional and certificated guide. All our guides are naturalists and biologists. They will tell you a lot about the whale sharks and their environment. The boats which we will use for the tour have a limit of 10 people.

What an amazing sight to see! We went the first week of August and there were so many whale sharks around!! Incredible animals! So majestic and so beautiful! Edgar who was our guide in the water was so awesome, he would grab my arm if I was moving slow or heading the wrong was and speed forward to the sharks so helpful! He even helped direct my awful GoPro filming to make sure I was pointing it as the direction it should! The whole procedure of jumping in and seeing the sharks is very quick and fast moving. No time to adjust or dilly dally. It's go go go chase after the sharks, get your filming on and then back on. So expect to be quick and a bit tired for swimming fast. Cindy was our main guide and was so accommodating and spoke 5 other languages perfectly which was a treat. After the sharks we stopped at the shore of Isla Mujeres which was so clear and breathtaking. The water was so beautiful, no sargasso or seaweed in sight. We got to play and swim around and they served us sandwiches and freshly made (right from the boat) ceviche and guacamole which was by far the best ceviche and guacamole that we've had on our trip hands down. They even removed the cushion from the boat and we used it as a floaty table for our food so we could eat it in the water!! The crew was amazing. The tour was absolutely amazing. Cons: no sunscreen allowed. They really care for the Marine life in Mexico which I appreciate greatly, so wear a sunshirt, hat and glasses! And make sure to bring a waterproof camera!
