Do you know how sweet wine and rosé wines are made? What about sparkling wine?... This complete wine experience in a Loire Valley family winery - a guided wine tour run by Myriam, a wine professional and the wife of the winemaker - will allow you to discover the whole wine-making process, from grape to wine.
This wine tour begins with a guided walk in the vineyard, where you will learn about French 'AOCs', Vouvray wines, vine-growing and the vinegrower's work in the vines throughout the year. This guided walk will also be the opportunity to enjoy beautiful landscapes and discover troglodytes - traditional Loire Valley dwellings dug in the limestone.
We will then tour the family-owned winery and the rock-hewn cellar to learn about vinification, ageing and the traditional method, used to make sparkling wines.
We will conclude with a tutored tasting of 6 wines served with local delicacies to learn about wine tasting and food and wine pairing.
Visitors have to come to the meeting point - Vignoble Alain Robert - by themselves.
The winery is located in Chançay, 18 km from Tours, 12 km from Amboise and 10 km from Vouvray.
No car is needed for the wine tour, as we walk to and from the vineyard.
