Chobe National Park is approximately an hour's drive from Victoria Falls and is believed to be home to the world’s largest elephant population. The park is also home to a large pride of lions, huge buffalo herds, giraffes, Zebra, antelope and many other species. Chobe is home to over 460 bird species. This day trip is divided into two parts: in the morning we have a game-viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River, and in the afternoon we embark on a game drive through the National Park. Each activity is 3 hours and in-between you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch at a local hotel. Chobe River is one of the few rivers in the world that flows in two directions. In the dry season, the river flows East, but in the rainy season, the Zambezi River pushes upstream to reverse the river's flow towards the West.
- 6 am clients are picked up at their respective Hotels.
- the transfer to the Botswana border (KAZUNGULA) takes approximately one hour.
- at the border, clients are transferred into local (Botswana) vehicles under the guidance of experienced Botswana guides.
- on arrival at Chobe River, the boat cruise starts on the Chobe River.
- after about 3 hours, a local hotel serves lunch on the river banks.
- after lunch, clients are transferred to 4x4 off-road vehicles for an afternoon game drive.
- after approximately 3 hours of game drive, clients are taken straight to the border where they are transferred into Zimbabwe transfer vehicles.
- immediately, clients are transferred back to their respective Hotels in Victoria Falls.
