  • You’ll travel by road to the border between Zambia and Botswana at Kazungula, which takes about 1.5 hours.

Border Crossing at Kazungula

  • You'll cross the border from Zambia into Botswana. Make sure you have your passport and any necessary visas.
  • You’ll go through customs and immigration, which may take some time, so be prepared for a short wait.

Arrive at Chobe National Park

  • Once you’ve crossed into Botswana, you'll head toward Chobe National Park.
  • Chobe is famous for its large elephant population, and it's one of the most diverse parks in Africa.

Morning Safari Game Drive

  • You’ll head straight into the park for a morning game drive in an open 4x4 safari vehicle.
  • Your guide will take you to key areas known for wildlife sightings. Expect to see a variety of animals, including elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
  • The morning is a great time to see animals as they are usually more active and visible before the midday heat.

Lunch

  • After the morning safari, you’ll stop at a designated area or a lodge for a buffet-style lunch.
  • Lunch will typically be a relaxed affair where you can enjoy a delicious meal, often with a view of the park.

Chobe River Cruise

  • After lunch, you’ll head to the Chobe River for a relaxing boat cruise.
  • The river cruise is one of the highlights of the trip, offering an excellent opportunity to see wildlife from a different perspective. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, and other animals drinking or bathing in the river.
  • The boat trip is also perfect for birdwatching, as the riverbanks are home to a variety of water birds, including kingfishers and eagles.

Afternoon Game Drive (Optional)

  • If time allows, you may opt for a second short game drive in the park or simply enjoy the scenery before heading back.
  • This is another opportunity to spot animals in the late afternoon, when they are often more active again.

Head Back to the Kazungula Border

  • After the game activities, you will start the drive back to the Kazungula border crossing.

Border Crossing and Drive Back to Livingstone

  • Once you’ve crossed back into Zambia, you’ll continue your journey back to Livingstone.
