This 7 Days Uganda Safari takes you to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking, Queen Elizabeth National Park for big game plus tree climbing lions and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for magical Gorilla trekking with a community walk to the Batwa people (Pygmies).

Day 1 Entebbe

Arrive in Uganda following the flight from your respective country of origin. You land at Entebbe International Airport which is the main gateway to Uganda where you will find a representative of your booked hotel who will offer you a courteous welcome. The amazing weather and brightening atmosphere on the shores of Lake Victoria give you a remarkable first impression of Uganda. Connect to the respective hotel for overnight stay at 2 Friends Beach Hotel.

Day 2 Entebbe - Kibale National Park

Start the safari with transfer to Kibale Forest National Park in the morning with the target to have lunch in Fort Portal. A punctuation of stopovers in the far countryside offers us chances of stretching in villages and around tea plantations along the drive as we check in late evening. Have a night in a beautiful area close to a crater lake bordering Kibale Forest.

Day 3 Kibale NP - Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a short briefing and then proceed into the forest for a chimp trekking adventure. Watch out for other primate species such as the Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys, Olive baboons among others that gives the forest the crown of the primate capital of the world. Return for lunch and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a wide view of some animals en route such as the elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs among others. Arrive in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 4 Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a cup of coffee, begin the day with a game drive in the Kasenyi plains that may lead you to see bush buck, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes, lions, elephants and many more. You will later return at the lodge for a late breakfast, relax as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy an afternoon boat ride along the Kazinga Channel for a wide view of yawning hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, various bird species such as red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, shoe bill stock among others. Return at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 5 Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Forest

Very early breakfast and early morning game drive through the park. Possible encounters include lions, buffaloes, kobs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs and others. Proceed towards Ishasha River, south of the park, a popular sight with tree climbing lions. Reach Bwindi Forest by evening and check into your choice of accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Bwindi National Park

Following the morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters with packed lunch for a vital briefing prior to trekking the gorillas in the thick impenetrable forest. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas after having trekked for about 2-8 hours. If you have time and still feel strong just head for an optional brief community walk to the local Batwa community. Check out the curio shops, children’s school and also get a chance to explore more about their unique culture and many more. Dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 7 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Kampala/ Entebbe

After morning breakfast, park your bags and you will be driven back to Entebbe for your flight back home with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos, then another stops over at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using traditional methods passed down through the generations.
