Day 1 Hotel - Machame Camp
After a 45-minute drive from Moshi to Machame Gate, you begin your trek through the lush rainforest. The trail, often muddy and slippery, takes you up a ridge into the montane forest. You’ll reach Machame Camp at 3,050 meters, where you’ll settle in for the night.

Day 2 Machame Camp - Shira Camp
After breakfast, leave the rainforest behind and ascend through the moorland. The path takes you across a steep rocky ridge before turning west into a river gorge towards Shira Camp, at 3,850 meters, with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro’s glaciers.

Day 3 Shira Camp - Lava Tower - Barranco Camp
Continue east, passing the junction to Kibo Peak. The trail then turns southeast towards the Lava Tower (4,650 meters), known as "Shark’s Tooth." After a brief rest, descend to Barranco Camp (3,950 meters) to help with acclimatization, ensuring your body is ready for the summit.

Day 4 Barranco Camp - Barafu Camp
After breakfast, climb the Barranco Wall, then descend into the Karanga Valley before ascending to Barafu Camp at 4,640 meters. From this camp, you'll have a stunning view of the summit and the surrounding landscape.

Day 5 Barafu Camp - Summit - Mweka Camp
The summit push starts in the early hours (around midnight). Ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point, where you can witness an unforgettable sunrise. From Stella Point, it’s a short climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) for your final night on the mountain.

Day 6 Mweka Camp - Mweka Gate - Hotel
After breakfast, descend to Mweka Gate where you’ll receive your summit certificates. From there, enjoy a one-hour walk to Mweka Village where a vehicle awaits to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi.
