This 10 Days Namibian Family Adventure goes to Sossusvlei where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red sand dunes to make this one of the natural wonders of Africa and a photographers heaven. Aside from the attractions at Sossusvlei - Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, Big Daddy and Deadvlei - other attractions in the area include the Sesriem Canyon and Namib-Naukluft National Park, where the mountains of the Namib Desert meet its plains.

Day 1-2 Sossusvlei

Clients depart from Windhoek and they drive to Sossusvlei Namib Desert lodge or similar for the night.

Once clients have arrived at the lodge they can go for a dune drive around the lodge.

Sossusvlei is located in the scenic Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa and a photographer's heaven. This awe-inspiring destination is possibly Namibia's premier attraction, with its unique dunes rising to almost 400 metres - some of the highest in the world.

Overnight: Namib Desert Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia

Namib Desert Lodge is located 60 km north of Sesriem on the C 19 (Sossusvlei Area). Set below striking fossilised dunes, the comfortable lodge provides a spectacular experience of ancient desert. 65 rooms, two swimming pools and a waterhole are surrounded by sandy splendour. Breath in the grandeur on a sunset drive and feel the earth under foot. Relax in the arms of the Namib.

Day 3-4 Swakopmund

Orange House, Swakopmund

Clients depart to Swakopmund and they overnight at pros hotel in Swakopmund.

Swakopmund

Set along Namibia's spectacularly scenic coast, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide-open avenues, colonial architecture, and is surrounded by otherworldly desert terrain. Founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South West Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany. Now a seaside resort town, Swakopmund is the capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has plenty to keep visitors happy. The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, adventure options, laidback atmosphere and cool sea breeze make it very popular Namibian destination. Visitors can look forward to a number of exciting activities including: quad biking, horse riding, paragliding, fishing, sightseeing and fascinating desert tours.

Overnight: Orange House

Orange House is a family-run, private Guesthouse located 1.5 km north of the famous Swakopmund “Mole” and only a 1 minute walk away from the beach. 13 spacious double rooms, each with en-suite bathroom and access to our beautiful garden and sun terrace.

Excluded optional activities: kayaking, sandwich habour, sand boarding and skydiving.

Day 5 Damaraland

Clients depart to Madisa Camp from Swakopmund. Once clients have arrived at the Camp they can do a lot of activities that are offered by the lodge.

Madisa Campsite is situated in the beautiful Damaraland. It offers self-catering safari tents and private shaded campsites with running water, wash-up facilitys, private ablutions and braai area.

Overnight at Madisa Safari Tents

Madisa Safari Tents are self catering tents built cleverly and as eco friendly as possible around our scenic boulder formations each with their own en suite rock bathroom consisting of a basin, shower and toilet. The tents sleep a max of two people and offer twin beds or a double bed this should be confirmed in your booking. All linen is provided in these comfortable Safari Tents allowing for a good nights rest after falling asleep to the sounds of the oldest desert.

Excluded Optional Activities: Clients can go for an elephant tracking excursion or guided village walk, sun downer Walk and scenic drive.

Day 6-7 Etosha National Park

Clients depart to Etosha National Park where clients get to overnight at Okaukuejo Resort. Located just south of the boundary of Etosha National Park in northwestern Namibia, Etosha South makes up the southern region of this wild paradise. Ogava Private Game Reserve shares the southern boundary with Etosha National Park and offers an array of luxury lodges overlooking picturesque landscapes dotted with abundant wildlife.

Overnight at Okaukuejo Resort

Okaukuejo Resort is located in Etosha National Park, 17 km from the southern entrance; it is the oldest establishment in Etosha. It currently functions as the administrative hub of the park and houses the Etosha Ecological Institute from where all park research is monitored and conducted.

Day 8 Etosha National Park

Clients depart to Namutoni Lodge on their way from Okaukuejo Resort and they can enjoy more game drive around the national park.

Overnight at Namutoni Lodge

The lodge is situated in the eastern part of Etosha National Park and is accessible via the Von Lindequist Gate. Its close proximity to Fisher’s Pan makes Namutoni a hotspot for birders. Two restaurants, a craft shop, a pool and a viewing deck overlooking King Nehale Waterhole make the fort a great place to relax at lunchtime or after evening game drives. The African Fusion restaurant will introduce you to local flavours, while the Steakhouse offers popular western dishes. A superette, curio shop and petrol station allow you to stock up on everything that is necessary and nice.

Day 9 Waterberg

Clients depart to Waterberg from Etosha National Park. Waterberg Plateau Park is a national park in central Namibia encompassing the Waterberg Plateau, 68 km east of the town of Otjiwarongo. The Waterberg Plateau is a particularly prominent feature, elevated high above the plains of the Kalahari of Eastern Namibia.

Overnight at Waterberg

The Waterberg Plateau Lodge is situated at the edge of the Waterberg Plateau providing terrific vistas of the Kalahari bush land below. The lodge offers 8 luxury chalets, each providing a private plunge pool on a little terrace for refreshment during hot days.

The Waterberg Plateau Lodge belongs to the Waterberg Wilderness group, which runs three lodges on a private farm including a game reserve.

Included Activity: Bush Walk/Trekking

The are alot of activities that the lodge can offer to the clients during their stay, such as Bush walk, visit the different etnics groups.

Day 10 Return to Windhoek

This is the last day of itenary and the clients depart back to Windhoek or airport after early breakfast.
