Sahara Desert Tour From Marrakech 3 days

Day 1 Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

To start our 3-Day Sahara desert tour to Merzouga our driver/guide will pick-up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech at 8 am and then drive you through Tizi-n-Tichka, a well-known, scenic pass that will take you through the impressive high atlas Mountains reaching an altitude of 7,415ft, it links Marrakech to Ouarzazate, and offers stunning scenery.

The first stop of our journey would be Ait Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO world heritage site, where we will explore the modern part of the town , with all the touristy shops you'd expect. A short walk down the hill and across the bridge will bring us to the old parts of the town that countless producers have used as a film location, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Jewel of the Nile, Games of Thrones and many more …

After lunch, we will continue our drive passing through Ouarzazate and the palm-lined Skoura, heading towards the Dades Valley, a limestone river canyon with impressive rock walls reaching up to 525 feet high.

Day 2 Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - Sahara Desert Camp

On the next day of our tour, we will leave the beautiful valley, towards Todra gorges, “the magnificent canyons of Morocco”, where we will explore its remarkable orange cliffs and cliff-sided canyons, the perfect combination of atlas mountains and charming desert.

Later on, we will pass by the Rissani Sahara, where we will get a tour of the old village, visiting its colorful market, exploring its ancient culture and getting a real glimpse of the authentic Moroccan architecture.

Finally, we will arrive at the golden gate of the Sahara desert, Merzouga, where we will take our camels trekking through the golden sands of Erg Chebbi arriving at our cozy desert camp, where we will be spending the night under the Saharan starry night sky.

In contrast to the scorching hot daytime temperatures, the Sahara desert at night is quite different, we will get to gaze up at the pristine Milky Way overhead, without the city glow to wash out the starlight, and we may just witness a shooting star. The Sahara desert under the stars is breathtaking, almost surreal against the silhouette of the cascading dunes.

Day 3 Sahara Desert Camp - Camel Ride - Marrakech

The last day of our tour starts bright and early in the morning, we will wake up to catch a magical sunrise over the golden sands of an endless Sahara.

After a delicious breakfast and a warm shower, we will head back towards Marrakech, Morocco's red city, where we will drop you off at your desired destination/ accommodation marking the end of our 3-Day Morocco tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
