Enjoy this 1-day visit to Moremi Game Reserve! Both black and white rhinos have recently been reintroduced making the reserve a “Big Five” destination. You will have exposure to explore and see the abundant wildlife and see the wonders of Moremi Game Reserve while entering the park.
Located on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta is the Moremi Game Reserve combining permanent water with drier areas. The reserve is home to over 400 of the Okavango's species of birds. This vast array of mammal, bird, insect, plant, fish and reptile species have adapted to the Okavango Delta's swamp conditions.
Moremi Day trip starts from 5:30 AM in Maun from the place you have been accommodated in, it can be a guest house, lodge or hotel. From Maun, we drive on the tarred road to the eastern side. After Shorobe village we use gravel road, the drive takes about 3 hours to the South gate about 100km. After passing the buffalo fence we should expect to see wild animals until we reach the entrance of the Moremi Game Reserve. We have picnic breakfast with us which we will pick a good spot at the South Gate and enjoy before starting our trip. We then do our game drive in the reserve for some hours with our professional guide, who will be able to answer any questions, explain and give information on anything that may be seen during that particular time. At lunch hour we then find a good location it can be the Hippo Pound or any other fascinating place and then enjoy our lunch.
During the trip, we should expect to see lions, cheetahs, wildebeest, leopards, elephants, packs of wild dogs, zebra, hippos, Impala, red lechwe, sitatunga and many more as well as a variety of birds.
During the trip breakfast, you will have fruit juice and some fresh scones, muffins and biscuits. Fruits include bananas, apples and grapes. For lunch, we provide a full meal consisting of starch, salads and chicken or beef. Water, drinks, peanuts and Simba chips will also be provided during the trip. Later we drive back to the hotel or guest house where you are accommodated.
