Learn the history and culture of Lima by the hand of our knowledgeable guide and feel like a local taking buses or taxis to move around the city.
Experience local public transportation, visit the ancient San Francisco church and its mysterious catacombs, enjoy a walk around the bohemian district of Barranco, admire Lima's Downtown colonial architecture.
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. You’ll take the Metropolitano bus or a local taxi, go to Barranco, the bohemian district of Lima, where you will visit the main park, the old Ermita, the Mirador and the Bridge of Sighs.
After this you’ll be headed to Lima historical town centre. Once there, you will visit the Plaza San Martin (the second most important plaza of Lima). You will walk through the crowded Jiron de la Union, appreciating the art deco and nouveau styles and end up in the Main Plaza of Lima. You will start walking around the main square, where you will find: The Government Palace, The City Hall, La Casa del Oidor, The Cathedral, The Archbishopric, the old bronze Fountain, Taulichusco's Stone, Pasaje Olaya and Club de la Unión.
While walking through the city you will see the Desamparados Train station and the oldest bar in the city: Cordano Bar.
You will visit the San Francisco church, so you can appreciate religious art and the mysterious catacombs (entry ticket is S/15.00 soles person).
Finally, you’ll be taken you back to your hotel and that will be the end of the tour.

It's a walking tour, but in order to approach the tour destinations (districts / neighbourhoods), as Lima is a big city, you'll have to take a local bus or taxi. Once you arrive at the destination (district / neighbourhood) you'll walk touring around it. The neighbourhoods of Lima that our tour covers are two: Barranco and Lima Historical Centre.
