Start this magical trip to the Uxmal & Kabah archaeological center by being picked up in downtown Merida at 09:00 am.
You will leave the hotel lobby towards Uxmal, located 82 km from Mérida in the region known as Puuc, which means "hills" in Mayan.
Here you can see on a guided tour the characteristics of Puuc art embodied in the parallelepiped shapes of its buildings with smooth walls and ornate friezes of Uxmal buildings that belong to the classical Mayan period and some to the late middle phase.
You will visit the Archaeological Zone that is made up of 15 groups of buildings built where El Chaac (the rain god), the Mayan god, is represented in multiple buildings in the Governor's Palace, a large quadrangle of the Plaza de las Monjas, the Temple of the Fortune Teller, among others.
Later you will visit the Archaeological Zone of Kabah distinguished by its long occupation, strategic location and by the quality of the carved stones that embellish and give meaning to its buildings.
You will visit three large architectural ensembles that make up the urban core: The Codz Poop whose meaning is the “rocky mat”, the Teocalli Palace and the Great Pyramid that has a central temple that marks the entrance to the city.
You will have time for lunch and at the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your respective hotel in Mérida.
