Begin this interesting tour to the Route of the Haciendas and Cenotes by being picked up in Downtown Merida in the morning, either from your hotel or a designated meeting point.
The first stop will be the Hacienda de Tahdzibichén. Take a guided tour of this place that is full of history. Learn about the former landowners and the "green gold" of Yucatan, the henequén.
Then, move on to the famous Uayalceh Hacienda. See how time has frozen and admire its scenic ruins. Explore the area with your tour guide and hear fun facts about the place.
Continue along the route of the cenotes, entering the low jungle of the peninsula. Discover the crystal-clear waters of the cenotes and swim in two of them: Yaal-Utzil and Cenote Peba.
After swimming in the cenotes, you will continue to the Ochil Hacienda. Spend time relaxing and eating at its Yucatecan restaurant and explore the grounds of the hacienda.
At the end of the tour, you will return to Mérida, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the original starting point.
