Alaverdi St. George Cathedral, Telavi Georgia
Alaverdi Cathedral stands in the Alazani-River valley. The earliest structures here date back to 6th-century AD, but the present-day cathedral is dated from the 11th century. The area is encircled with a fortified wall and contains wine cellars, baths, a living area, and other structures.
Gremi Citadel and the Church of the Archangels
Gremi is the capital of a once-flourishing Kingdom of Kakheti. The city was destroyed by the Shah Abbas army in the 17th century. Only the ruins have survived. Visit a well-preserved Church of Archangels, Royal Tower, and a museum displaying objects uncovered during archaeological excavations and paintings of Georgian kings.
Tsinandali, Winery Tour
Take a walk in the Tsinandali residence gardens with a glass of wine produced by Tsinandali. The complex in Tsinandali embraces the memorial house, a landscape garden, a historical winery, a wine cellar, a hotel, and a café. The vineyards have been restored and wine production has resumed. We offer you a pleasurable and informative experience: you will look into the background of the noble Chavchavadze family, who played a significant part in the national history; enjoy the views of the garden, have a look at the winery and sample the “Tsinandali” (first produced by the Chavchavadzes) Georgian wines and round off the visit to the historic hotel.
