Morogoro contain some of the oldest original forest in Africa and while it is much depleted these days, the range is green and scenic, and offers enjoyable hiking. From Morogoro the most popular route is to Morningside, an old German mountain hut to the south of town at about 1000m (about 2 to 3 hours on foot). The path starts at the Regional Administration buildings about 3km south of the town centre at the end of Boma Rd.
A hike to the Uluguru Mountains ensures that you have a bit of exercise, a bit of laughter and whole lots of adventures. From the hike up the mountain, through swimming in the waterfalls to picking up wild berries. Uluguru are the mountain range in eastern Tanzania named after the Uluguru tribe and is one of the most popular hikes for short day trip.
Early in the Morning around 6:00 we pick you up from your hotel in Morogoro with a taxi to the starting point, then start hiking to the Uluguru Mountains.
We will take a short break when you want to, if you're okay we keep moving it's up to you, we believe in our tour guides they are really good.
In 3 to 4 hours we will reach the destination, then we will go straight to Choma waterfalls for swimming and return back after several hours until 13:30. Less hours to return to town so no transport needed in returning back to your hotel.
Around 16:00 will be at town and the tour guide will escort you back to your hotel in Morogoro.
