Day 2 Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After having breakfast at the lodge, you will leave early for Tarangire National Park. It is the third largest park in Tanzania and is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered. The Baobab trees are one of the highlights of it. Tarangire River which flows all year round is the lifeblood of the park. Many animals, predators and their prey, gather around the river and you can do excellent game viewings.

You will stay overnight at the Panorama campsite.

Day 3 Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park

The breakfast will be at 06:00. You will be picked up from the camp at 07:00 while bringing a packed picnic lunch and drive to Serengeti National Park. You will enjoy game drives en route via the Ngorongoro Crater rim. You will have 2hrs late afternoon game drive.

Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous national parks on earth, renowned for its magnificent lions and great migration. It is the home of lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and more.

You will stay overnight at Seronera Campsite.

Day 4 Central Serengeti - Northern Serengeti

After having breakfast, you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Since Serengeti is very large, your game drives will depend on the move of the migrants. Your guide knows very well how to locate the herds. Serengeti National Park is famous for the 'Great Migration' of more than one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebras each year. In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north southwards to the plains, seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May and June, the herds then make their return journey. Even without this mass migration, Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that will not fail to enthral.

You will have dinner and stay overnight at Lobo Campsite.

Day 5 Northern Serengeti

After having breakfast, you will experience a game drive following the animal migration at the Northern Serengeti. You can see wildebeests, zebras, topi hartebeests, elands, antelopes, hyenas and various birds singing in the trees while viewing the beautiful landscape and nature. Usually, in July, August and the beginning of November, the migration reaches its northern range in which the herds cross the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River twice, as they complete their migration. You will also be able to enjoy the sunset at Serengeti between 18:20 - and 18:40 after the game drive before returning and staying overnight at the campsite.

Day 6 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

After having breakfast, you will experience a game viewing in Serengeti for three hours. Then, you will proceed with a game en route and arrive at Nabi gate to have lunch. You will then proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area to have dinner and stay overnight at Simba Campsite.

Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Manyara National Park

On this day, you will start early at 07:00 for a game drive (with a picnic lunch) in the Ngorongoro Crater. As animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000-foot-high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Your driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals.

After all the great explorations in Ngorongoro Crater, you will go to Fanaka Campsite to have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8 Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

After having breakfast, you will continue the journey to visit Lake Manyara National Park. The protected area encloses a large part of the alkaline lake of the same name. This amazing lake is the seasonal home of a giant flamingo colony and many more waterfowl. On the lakeshore, you can also observe elephants, hippopotami, buffalos, guenons, banded mongooses, and numerous types of gazelles and antelopes. Furthermore, the park is well known for its “tree-climbing lions”. Visitors can regularly observe lions taking a nap in the tree canopies or escaping from the heat on the ground.

Later proceed back to Arusha and overnight at the hotel we booked for you: Venice Hotel.
