6 Days Big Game Walking Safari: Arusha, Manyara, Serengeti And Ngorongoro 6 days

Day 1 Arusha National Park

After breakfast you drive to Arusha National Park four nature walk which will be led by an armed park ranger, see the fast member of the big five on foot. The walk will be a gentle hike through different habitas, looking for animal tracks, animal droppings, plants, birds, and other animals like baboons, monkeys, giraffes and warthogs. Stop at the water fall for some cool breeze, the sound here is amaizing with great sighting of bee eaters. Get back to the jeep and procceed to the picinic site for lunch. The view of the momela lakes is incredable while enjoying your mouth watering lunch. This is one of the smaller national parks in Tanzania, but it has a rich variety of wildlife and landscapes. From the swampy Ngurdoto Crater and alkaline lakes to dense jungle and the towering peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro can be seen from here. In the late afternoon return to Crest Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, large population of baboons, incredible birdlife and breathtaking views. You can see giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos and if you are lucky you spot the tree-climbing lion. In the late afternoon you will continue to Country Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park for game drive with picnic lunch. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world. Here you will see most wildlife and this will probably be the highlight of your entire safari. Animals in the Serengeti include prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, impalas, giraffes, hippos, warthogs, lots of birds and many more. In the late afternoon you will continue to Mbugani Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Serengeti National Park

Today you go on a morning an afternoon game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park. These is a great day to look for the predators: lion, leopard, cheetah, hyenas and jackals all in one park, the Serengeti is one of the best places to do so. The abundance of wildlife in this park is unmatched anywhere else in Africa. Depending which time of the year you visit this park, you can also witness the Great Migration. It’s an impressive experience to see all those hoofed mammals, followed by iconic predators, migrate in a clockwise circle every year. In the late afternoon you will continue to Mbugani tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast you depart for a morning game drive in the Serengeti with picnic lunch. In the afternoon you visit a traditional Maasai village to get an insight in the lifestyle of these graceful warriors. After this exciting cultural experience, you drive to Rhino lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

Rise and shine descend down to the crater flour for a day of game viewing. The crater shelters close to 30.000 animals including the Big Five. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, and a small population of the rare black rhino. Look for the hyeanas here since the number is incredible, and here you will maybe get the pictures these great animals are hunters as opposed to more scavanging. The beautiful colours and dancing clouds make the crater almost surreal. In the late afternoon return to return back to Arusha.
