Day 1 Dar Es Salaam - Mikumi National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam or at Dar Es Salaam Airport by your guide and leave for Mikumi National Park from Dar Es Salaam being nestled between the Uruguru Mountains to the East and the Rift Valley escarpments to the Southwest. As it is close to the Selous ecosystem and therefore part of it, it benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area. The Mikumi National Park obtains a good impression of the African animal world and is well suitable for a short visit. After arrival at Mikumi National Park you go on game drives around the park.

Day 2 Mikumi - Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast go to Selous Game Drive named after the explorer Frederick Selous.
The Selous Game Reserve is the largest protected wildlife reserve, a UN World Heritage site and a pristine uninhabited area larger than Switzerland. The topography of the park from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plain and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries. Activities are game drives and a walking safari. Together with an armed ranger or Maasai guide you explore the bush by walk. Animal sightings include lions, leopard, elephants, kudu, buffaloes, wild dogs and great number of birds species.

Day 3 Selous Game Reserve
Full day of game drives at Selous Game Reseserve named after the explorer Frederick Selous.
The Selous Game Reserve is the largest protected wildlife reserve, a UN World Heritage site and a pristine uninhabited area larger than Switzerland. The topography of the park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plain and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries. Activities are game drives and you might see the wild dogs which are less common on the northen circut. Other sightings might be sable antilopes, puku, lions, leopard, elephants and rhino.

Day 4 Selous Game Reserve
Dar Es Salaam with arrival late afternoon/early evening.
Return to Dar es Salaam (3-6Hrs).
Note: You can fly from Selous to Dar Es Salaam on the last day.
