This 2 days safari takes clients to Okonjima Lodge where clients can experience the wildlife of animals such as cheetahs and leopards.
The family-run Okonjima Lodge rests at the foot of the sandstone Omboroko Mountains amidst acacia thornveld in a malaria-free area. It is halfway between Namibia’s capital city, Windhoek, and the Etosha National Park – only a two-and-a-half-hour drive or a brief flight into the reserve’s private airstrip. It undertakes research, community support and environmental education projects, as well as conservation work to rehabilitate carnivores such as cheetah and hyena.
This 2 days safari allow clients to do different types of activities such as game drives on the lodge cheetah feeding and tracking. Clients can spot the many nocturnal game species they wouldn’t normally see during the day.
Day 1 Okonjima Nature Reserve
Clients are pick up from their accommodation and are taken to Okanjima Lodge. Once clients have arrived at the lodge they set up campsite since its a camping safari. Okonjima is situated half-way between Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, and the Etosha National Park (a two and a half hour drive from either point), its central location making it ideally suited as a base from which to undertake excursions to other Namibian regions, or as the perfect break on the way to or from Etosha.

Day 2 Okonjima Nature Reserve
Early morning clients wake up very early to do the Bushmen walk activity with the San and then depart back to Windhoek.
Excluded Optional activities:
Clients can take part in a tracking, on-foot safari, alongside guides in search of AfriCat’s rehabilitated carnivores. The rehabilitated carnivores in question are habituated to mankind. Making them unsuitable for release anywhere else other than private parks such as the Okonjima Nature Reserve. Once that is done clients are transferred back to Windhoek.
