We want through this circuit to make you discover "another desert" which allows you to move away from the main tourist circuits while seeing the main known places in the vicinity of Djanet including Essendilene, the rock carvings of Dider, the Erg d'Admer and its dunes to infinity, the Touareg village of Ihrir. Another discovery of the Algerian desert.
With this 4x4 circuit, combined with a few hikes, you will get to know life in the desert as the Tuaregs live it. You will be in harmony with nature, the rhythm of the sun and the stars.
During the many proposed walks you can admire some paintings or rock carvings at the bend of a path.
The magnificent oases with their unexpected surfaces of crystal clear water: the Gueltas will amaze you, the water is there, always present.
And of course you will have the opportunity to taste an excellent couscous accompanied by the captivating Tuareg music.
NOTE: It is possible to start and end the tour in Djanet.
Day 1 (Saturday) Algiers - Djanet
Arrival to Algiers, transfer to Algiers national airport (200 m). Then Flight Algiers-Djanet 23:00 (Saturday)-1:15 (Sunday).
Welcome at Djanet airport by our Tuareg guide and our team. Transfer to the agency's guest house to spend the night.
Day 2 (Sunday) Djanet
Breakfast and immediate departure in 4x4 passing through Djanet for some formalities necessary for the visit of the national park.
Small walk in the late afternoon in erg Admer with its infinite dunes to admire a sunset at the top of a dune.
First bivouac under the stars.
Day 3 (Monday) Essendilene - Tin Taghirt
In the morning after a small 4x4 transfer, walk in the magnificent canyon of Essendilene to its guelta.
In the afternoon: visit of Dider and discovery of the rock carvings of the Tin Taghirt site.
Bivouac.
Day 4 (Tuesday) Idaren - Ihrir
Day hike to the village of Idaren via the Anaref plateau.
Then arrive at Ihrir passing by more than five gueltas, all the more beautiful than the others.
Picnic planned around a guelta. Discovery of zeribas (round stone house).
Day 5 (Wednesday) Tisras
Departure by 4x4 in the direction of Djanet.
Then hike in the afternoon to Tisras with its orange dunes mixed with huge rocks with multiple shapes. Couscous and bivouac.
Day 6 (Thursday) Tassili N'Ajjer - Timras
Very early morning hike to the famous Tassili N'Ajjer plateau, climb the cliff (approximately 650 meters in elevation) and visit some sites of sublime cave paintings, bivouac in Timras. (This hike can be replaced by an additional day in Ihrir or by a day of hiking in a landscape of sand and rocks.)
Day 7 (Friday) Djanet
Discovery of "the crying cow" before arriving in Djanet for a visit of the city, its gardens and its market with its fabrics.
Discovery of the city's blacksmiths, creators of Tuareg jewelry.
Shower in the Moorish bath and transfer to the agency's guest house for one last night.
Day 8 (Saturday) Djanet - Algiera
Transfer to the airport for Djanet flight at 4:15am.
Arrive Algiers at 6:30am, then head to the international airport for a return flight.
