The stunning Omo Valley tribes and Africa’s best crocodile market, and endemic animals at Nech Sar National Park in Arba Minch with two lakes separated by the bridge of God: Lake Abaya and Chamo, Dorze ethnic group are the highlights of this adventure tour.

Day 1 Arba Minch - Dorze

Drive to Arba Minch town from Addis Ababa. Stay overnight at the nearby town of Dorze ethnic group known for weaving clothes from cotton, and bamboo houses. Possibilities of volunteering.

Overnight: Dorze – lodge

Day 2 Arba Minch - Nech Sar NP

Head to Arba Minch, hotel book and head to Nech Sar National Park to observe warthog, antelope, kudu, especially zebra after a 25 km drive within the park.

Overnight: Nech Sar NP – camping

Day 3 Lake Chamo - Konso

Drive back to the centre and proceed to Lake Chamo to see the crocodile market, and hippo and then continue to drive to Konso town registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the nearby Mecheke village to see the terrace making on landscapes and see their Waka making.

Overnight: Konso – Strawberry Lodge

Day 4 Konso - Turmi - Hammer

After observing volunteer jobs at the perm culture farm in Karat Konso. Drive to Turmi village of Hamer Omo Valley tribes via the Omo Valley tribes of Tsemai Weyto & Arbore.

Overnight: Turmi – hotel

Day 5 Omorate - Dassanech - Hammer - Turmi

Half-day excursion to Kenya border to Omorate to visit the Geleb/ Dassenech tribe, after lunch break returns to visit one Hammer village. May attend the bull jumping ceremony that is a rite of passage from childhood to adulthood by the Hamer boys and Hameri girls show stoic allegiance whipping their back if their man fails to jump successfully.

Overnight: Turmi – hotel

Day 6 Dimeka - Karo - Jinka

Drive to Jinka via Dimeka/Karo to view the tribes white painting their bodies and take pictures of many tribes greeting you on the street.

Overnight: Jinka – hotel

Day 7 Mago NP - Mursi - Jinka

Drive to Mago National Park to see the best celebrity tribes Mursi in the morning known by the girls who insert clay plates in their lips, wait if there comes the usual elephant among the wild animals in the Mago National Park and return at night to Jinka.

Overnight: Jinka – hotel

Day 8 Key Afar / Weyto - Arba Minch

Drive back to Arba Minch, stopover at Keyafer, or Kaku, or Weyto on their respective market days on Thursday, Monday, or Saturday respectively.

Overnight: Arba Minch – hotel

Day 9 Arba Minch - Addis Adaba

Drive to Addis Ababa, end the visit in Ethiopia attending Ethiopian cultural music & traditional food and drink at Yod Abyssinia traditional restaurant close to the airport in Addis Ababa.
