Drive to Abiata–Shala National Park to see wild animals, two lakes, birds and have swimming opportunity at Lake Langano head to Awassa city.

Morning Lake Awassa Fish Market, city tour and head to Arba Minch town known for water body/two lakes separated by Bridge of God and Nech Sar National Park.

Morning Visit the Nech Sar (White Grass) National Park (for hunters possibility to stay more days, attending safaris wildlife, zebra…). Sail on Lake Chamo, see hippos, visit crocodile market in the afternoon.

Head to Konso village. The Konso village terracing is registered by UNESCO as Ethiopia’s 9th world heritage site. The landscape formed by erosion called “New York” to compare boldly with skyscraper buildings in USA. After visiting the Macheke village of Waka & their god statues head to the closest Omo valley villages.
Overnight: Turmi or Dimeka or Key Afer villages or Jinka town depending on the Market days if you like to coincide the villages on Market days (Turmi on Monday, Dimeka on Tuesday and Saturday, Jinka on Saturday, Key Afer on Thursday)
The Hammer tribes known for bull jumping a ritual of boys transferring from childhood into adults. A person who fails should wait the next year ceremony to get married. This can be done at a night time in Turmi / Dimeka villages.
Body paintings of Karo people can be visited on your way to Mursi.
The trip to Jinka is to see a collection of many representative tribe market dominated by Ari people as a principal town of Omo Valley region. It can be a hub to divert into one of the renowned tribes especially to Mursi known by their girls putting clay plates on their lips.
Key Afar village Thursday’s market is an advantage to see at least 3 tribes before heading to Jinka in one hour.

At Omorate Dassanech tribes live. The village before you swim over Omo River is more like big capital “Modern” and after you take the boat ride or swim pass you will get to the amazing Dasenech tribes, sharing some cultures with the Kenyan Turkana. Yes you are only some 30 Km away from Kenya and Turkana territory.
Overnight: Omorate or Turmi
Turmi to Konso if you want head to Arba Minch city and the next morning drive/fly to Addis.
Or you can extend your tour by the next 3 days.
Yabello is known for bird life. If you are interested to finish the last but not least south itinerary you can see the birdlife in Yabello, salt market etc on your way to Awassa.

Shashemene is a town given to Rasta community by His Majesty Hailesilasie I. After you see the Rasta community head to ‘Wendo Genet Spa’ to swim on thermal bath and relax after a long visit in the Omo Valley tribes before heading to Addis Ababa.

Drive to Addis Ababa and go shoping and end the visit in Ethiopia attending Ethiopian cultural music & traditional food and drink at Yod Abyssinia traditional restaurant close to the air port in Addis Ababa.

This was out first visit to Addis Ababa. The city is very busy but with the great service from Meklit, we were given a great tour of the city.
In particular we asked for a food tour in Addis Ababa e she perfectly guided us into merkato and other many local restaurant!
She also hosted us in her home to make us tried the best injera in all the city!
( her mom's one).
