In this comprehensive tour of northern Ethiopia, you will see the most wonderful historic places including Lalibela rock-hewn churches, monasteries of Lake Tana, and Gondar castles. You will be given a chance to trek through the wonderful landscapes of the Simien Mountains and to see some of the endemic species of flora and fauna.
Day 1 Lalibela
Fly from Addis-Lalibela, visit the rock hewn churches in the town. o/n Marbella Hotel
Day 2 Lalibela
Excursion to Yemrhanna Kirstos and Ashton Maryam churches. o/n Marbella Hotel
Day 3 Simien Mountains
Fly to Gondar in the morning, Drive to Semein Moutains and trek for couple of hours. o/n Semein Lodge
Day 4 Simien Mountains
Early morning trek and drive back to Gondar. o/n Goha Hotel
Day 5 Gondar
City tour of Gondar in the morning. Visit Fasil Castle, bath and Debrebirhane Sillase Church . Drive from Gondar to Bahirdar in the afternoon. o/n Kuriftu Resort
Day 6 Lake Tana
Boat trip to the island monastries in the morning, fly back to Addis in the late afternoon. o/n departure
